Welcome/Bienvenu to Miramichi Guide -Service (MGS). Miramichi Guide Service offers camper rentals, boat rentals and guided tours. Our campers are available for individual or group rentals. Our packages include an array of outdoor adventures, such as sea bass (striped bass) fishing, salmon fishing, trout fishing, and off-shore fishing. MGS also offer thrilling Miramichi ATV and motorcycle tours through out the Miramichi watershed. We also provide experiences such canoeing, kayaking, fly fishing for bass and salmon, clamming, and beach trips to Portage and Bay du Vin Island where you can catch striped bass, cod, and mackerel too. Camper Rentals
Miramichi Guide Service
MGS offers 3 campers for rent along the banks of the Main Southwest Miramichi River, perfect for those looking for accommodations and easy access to the river. Boat launch and docks right on site.
DISCLAIMER: Due to the camper’s close proximity to the river bank, boat launch, trout pond, and the stream feeding the trout pond, we do NOT recommend our sites for young children or individuals who require close supervision.
Costs:
- Camper: $125/night
-Our most popular package, camper and a boat rental for $250/night. More details in our "boat rental" section.
- Cleaning fee: $50 (you can clean yourself to have the cleaning fee waived)
- Firewood: $20/wheel barrow load. Feel free to bring your own wood.
- Propane barbeque and charcoal BBQ are available; just bring your own charcoal. Cooking grills are also provided on the fire pits.
- Boat launch: included in your stay.
Our location is ideal for those interested in striped bass, salmon, and trout fishing, as well as Miramichi ATV and motorcycle tours. Additionally, the area offers great opportunities for waterfowl hunting.

Our guides can take you from the headwaters of the Miramichi River system all the way out to the Gulf of St. Lawrence for some deep sea fishing, wind and weather dependent. Here are some guided fishing options, including Miramichi bass, salmon, and trout fishing. Enjoy fly fishing trips in canoes as part of your canoeing and kayaking outdoor adventures, hitting salmon pools on ATVs during our Miramichi ATV motorcycle tours, and bass fishing in the Miramichi River during early spring, followed by fishing for bass in the bay all summer and fall. Our offshore packages include mackerel (great for bait and delicious to eat), and then we head offshore to jig for cod and other non-sport fish. Striped Bass
The bass are in the Miramichi River from the first of May into late June. We start bass fishing in the river and then eventually end up in Miramichi Bay and the Gulf of Saint Laurence. We use everything from bait on the bottom to poppers with the fly rod.
Trout and Salmon
from April 15 until the striped bass show up is the best time to target trout and Atlantic salmon. The salmon are what the locals call "Black Salmon." These are salmon that spent the winter under the river ice. The salmon are dropping back out of the river and heading to the ocean.
ATV Salmon tours
Our standard ATV salmon fishing tours leave from our property in Doyles Brook. We fish three great salmon rivers, the Main Southwest Miramichi, the Renous, and the Dungarvan River. This tour takes most of the day. We do NOT supply ATVs. We can supply all the fishing gear. A NB salmon fishing license is required.
